Indications
  • Cattle: For the treatment of porcine haemorrhagic dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and complicated by strains of Fusobacterium spp. and Bacteroides spp.
    For the treatment of porcine respiratory complex (PRC) caused by M. hyopneumoniae and viruses such as PRRS virus and porcine influenza virus, complicated by Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. For the treatment of pleuropneumonia caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.

  • Chickens: Treatment and prevention of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and air sacculitis caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae.

  • Turkeys: Treatment and prevention of infectious sinusitis and air sacculitis caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae and Mycoplasma meleagridis.
Route of administration
Oral, in drinking water.
Dosage
  • Chickens:
    • Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and air sacculitis caused by M. hyopneumoniae:
      • Broiler chickens: 125 mg–250 mg/1 litre for 3 days in the first week of life and for 1–2 days every 3–4 weeks, depending on the risk.
      • Replacement pullets: 125 mg–250 mg/1 litre for 3 days in the first week of life and 1–2 days every 4–6 weeks, depending on the risk.
      • Laying hens and breeding chickens: 125 mg–250 mg/1 litre for 3 days every 4 weeks from the start of laying, depending on the level of risk.

    • Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and air sacculitis caused by M. gallisepticum and M. synoviae in broiler chickens, replacement pullets, laying hens and breeding chickens. 250 mg/1 litre for 3–5 days.

  • Turkeys:
    • Infectious sinusitis and air sacculitis caused by M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae and M. meleagridis.

    • Prevention:
      • Turkey poults (for fattening): 250 mg/1 litre for 3 days in the first week of life and 1–3 days every 4–6 weeks depending on the risk.
      • Breeding turkeys: 250 mg/1 litre for 3–5 days every 4 weeks, depending on the level of risk.

    • Treatment: 250 mg/1 litre for 3–5 days.
