Composición
Each ml contains:
Ceftiofur (as ceftiofur hydrochloride) 50,0 mg
Indicaciones
Infections associated with bacteria sensitive to ceftiofur:
- Pigs:
- For the treatment of respiratory infections associated with Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Streptococcus suis.
- Cattle:
- Treatment of bacterial respiratory disease associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni.
- Treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot, inflammation of the hoof) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus (Porphyromonas asaccharolytica).
- Treatment of the bacterial component of acute postpartum metritis (puerperal) within 10 days postpartum associated with Escherichia coli, Trueperella pyogenes (Arcanobacterium pyogenes) and Fusobacterium necrophorum, sensitive to ceftiofur. The indication is limited to cases where treatment with another antimicrobial has failed.

- Pigs: Intramuscular use.
- Cattle: Subcutaneous use.
Posología
The maximum volume to be administered at each injection site is 6 ml.
- Pigs:
- 3 mg/kg b.w./day, corresponding to 1 ml/16 kg b.w./day, for 3 days.
- Cattle:
- Respiratory disease: 1 mg/kg b.w./day, corresponding to 1 ml/50 kg b.w. for 3 to 5 days.
- Acute interdigital necrobacillosis: 1 mg/kg b.w./day, corresponding to 1 ml/50 kg b.w./day for 3 days.
- Acute postpartum metritis 10 days postpartum: 1 mg/kg b.w./day, corresponding to 1 ml/50 kg b.w. for 5 consecutive days.
